Social Attaché meets with the Portuguese Forum

Paulo Valor, the newly appointed Social Attaché of the Portuguese Embassy in Pretoria, recently met with the Portuguese Forum to discuss ways to assist the community. He was warmly welcomed by the Forum’s National Chairman, Manny Ferreirinha, and Youth Leader, Bianca Vaz, in a meeting that highlighted the embassy’s commitment to addressing the needs of Portuguese citizens in South Africa.

Discussions centred on identifying and supporting those in the community who face challenges, including social and economic vulnerabilities. “Our priority is to ensure that everyone in our community feels valued and supported,” said Paulo Valor. “Working closely with the Portuguese Forum, we aim to direct resources to where they are most needed.”

Manny Ferreirinha emphasised the Forum’s role as a bridge between the embassy and the community, stating, “This partnership is a positive step towards meaningful action. Together, we can reach those who may otherwise be overlooked.”

Youth Leader Bianca Vaz shared insights into the concerns of younger generations, including integration and preserving cultural identity. “Mr. Valor’s visit shows a genuine interest in understanding and addressing our challenges,” Vaz remarked.

The meeting marks the start of a collaborative effort to strengthen community ties and ensure that assistance reaches those who need it most.
