On the 9th of September the Portuguese Forum of South Africa joined the lunch at APF Vanderbijlpark that was hosted for the Seniors in the community. Once a month the club does this so that the seniors can get out of the house, socialize a bit with their friends, and be treated to a nice lunch together.
There were about twenty of the seniors that attended the lunch, and you could see that it really meant a lot to them to be able to take part in the lunch.
The lunch was a wonderful meal of meat and potatoes and a nice dessert, and while the seniors all ate they had a great time catching up on everyone’s news and chatting together. It is so important that we look after our seniors, especially when it becomes harder for them to get out and about, and social events like this make a huge difference in their lives.
