LEANDRO COIMBRA SCORES TWO AS SOUTH AFRICA LOSE OPENER TO URUGUAY

The Coimbra family was well represented, as Team staff Joaquim Coimbra saw both his sons on the court. Marcio Coimbra was extremely busy, and was involved in four faults, showing tenacity as Uruguay threatened to run over the South African defence.

Leandro Coimbra scored 2 in South Africa’s 3-2 loss to Uruguay

South Africa almost caused an upset and clawed their way back from being 3-0 down with two goals by Leandro Coimbra. Widely known in the music circles as Lee Cole, Leandro proved that he is as comfortable on skates as he is on stages, and as adept with a stick as he is with a microphone.
The late comeback from South Africa was cut short, and the two goals from the green and gold were too little, too late. Nonetheless, they have made us proud, and we will be rooting for them as they continue to represent us in the Argentinian Pampas.

Encompassed in the same tournament, the Portuguese Roller Hockey squad beat France by 5-1, and are well on their to renewing their World Cup Champions title.

Today, the teams playing are Egypt vs New Zeland, Mexico vs Uruguay and USA vs South Africa.
