First Headliner
Sergio Rossi, directly from Portugal is a man of many talents. He’s a singer, song-writer, producer and arranger, the headliner for the Madeira Fest in Casa da Madeira, Alberton, will perform on Sunday, October 2.
South African music is about to get a major dose of culture. The country is gearing up for the Madeira Fest that will bring together people from all walks of life in an atmosphere of cultural exchange and enrichment.
Madeira Fest is a New Festival brought to you by the Portuguese Forum Team, the same team who organized The Caravela Festival before the pandemic. It will be held on the 30 September, 1 and 2 of October at Casa da Madeira in Alberton.
Madeira Fest aims to promote the Madeira Island culture and language, while exposing people to its rich heritage and diverse traditions. Portuguese culture has had a significant impact on South African culture.
This festival will give you a taste of this influence by showcasing various genres of Portuguese music, dancing, and cuisine but not only our culture but joining the unique and diverse cultures of South Africa, that we adopted and consider ours also.
